"Will Ferrell Steals the Show at LA Kings Game Dressed as Buddy the Elf!"
Will Ferrell was present during the Kings-Flyers game at
Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. This time, Buddy was a little worse for wear,
and Sunday was dressed up as his iconic character from the popular 2003
Christmas film "Elf."
Ferrell's Buddy was seen sitting with his wife, Viveca Paulin, and kid, Axel.
He was frowning and wearing a five o'clock shadow. He was also drinking beer
and "smoking" a fake cigarette.
According to FanDuel Sports Network reporter Carrlyn Bathe, who spoke with Buddy at the game, the reason for his "disgruntled" appearance is that he had a "tough holiday season."
She went on to say, "He wants the Kings to win."
Compared to the beloved and affable Buddy, who spreads holiday cheer year after year, Buddy's depressed attitude was a far cry from that of the character.
Ferrell, Zooey Deschanel, the late James Cann, Mary Steenbergen, Ed Asner, Peter Dinklage, and Bob Newhart were among the cast members of Jon Favreau's film "Elf."
When the movie was released in 2003, it immediately became a holiday favorite. It follows Buddy, who grew up in the North Pole with Santa's elves, as he looks for his father in New York City.
Hopefully, Buddy will be enjoying the sweeter things in life when we next see him.
